Bengaluru, November 8, 2025:
Digital media network OneIndia has launched an AI-powered publishing platform named WISE (Widely Intelligent Support Engine). The platform helps regional news publishers streamline operations, boost efficiency, and produce personalized content in 133 languages.

The company says WISE is built for digital newsrooms that want speed and accuracy without losing editorial control. It combines automation, translation, and analytics under one system.

Built for regional newsrooms

Tony Thomas, Chief Technology Officer at OneIndia, said WISE was “built out of a newsroom, not a boardroom.”
The platform supports every stage of publishing — from story ideas to publication — while keeping linguistic accuracy intact.

By automating repetitive work, WISE allows editors and reporters to focus on storytelling. It also enables simultaneous publishing in multiple languages, helping regional publishers reach wider audiences.

Partnership with regional publishers

To expand its rollout, OneIndia has partnered with Times Kerala, ANM News, Tupaki News, News Ghantey Ghantey, Ei Muhurte, and Punnagai Media.

Through these collaborations, WISE will showcase how AI can enhance newsroom productivity and maintain editorial quality in local markets.

133-language support and workflow automation

The platform supports both major and regional Indian languages. It helps publishers localize stories and release them across multiple platforms in real time.

Key features include:

  • Instant translation and content adaptation
  • AI-assisted headlines and summaries
  • Workflow management for digital teams
  • Audience analytics and performance insights

Thomas said WISE does not replace journalists. Instead, it gives them tools to work faster and smarter.

AI in the newsroom — a growing shift

Industry observers note a clear trend: Indian publishers are using AI not only for speed but also for accuracy and engagement.
Multilingual tools like WISE could bring credible news to readers who prefer regional languages, making digital journalism more inclusive.

Experts believe these technologies can increase visibility for local publishers and bridge the gap between national and regional newsrooms.

What it means for content creators

For creators, educators, and small publishers, WISE represents a step toward accessible AI publishing. It reduces technical hurdles and lowers the cost of producing multilingual content.

Yet, experts stress the importance of human review. Editors must verify AI-generated text to avoid factual errors or cultural bias.
